WHY I FIGHT FOR JUSTICE “For so long, people have used the law as a means of oppression rather than justice. Each day I am grateful for my legal education, and driven to join those who choose to use the law for positive social change.” Caitlin Machel, Law Clerk
Caitlin graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently a third-year student at UT Law. She is broadly interested in social justice lawyering, with a primary focus on disability rights. She has worked at UT’s Civil Rights Clinic, Disability Rights Texas, and the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law.
